What’s new in Postman: Flows, Fabric Gateway, and Astro AI
Blog post from Postman
Postman introduced five platform updates spanning API testing, AI infrastructure, access control, performance testing, and visual workflow support. Application Inventory now provides cross-environment visibility, insights into missing or incomplete API test coverage, historical test trends, version comparisons, and views connecting UI workflows with the APIs and endpoints they use. Fabric Gateway’s cloud offering is generally available, adding a Postman-hosted control and data plane, simplified signup and team management, administrative APIs, certificate-based node enrollment, and identity-based access controls for routing traffic to AI models, agents, MCP servers, and internal APIs. Astro AI now applies restricted-by-default, fine-grained roles to blueprints, deployed agents, and knowledge stores, requiring administrators to explicitly restore teammates’ access to existing resources. Cloud performance testing is now available to Enterprise customers, including static egress IP addresses for testing APIs protected by IP allowlists, while retaining existing collections, scripts, and CLI workflows. Postman Flows also now supports GraphQL and gRPC request blocks, enabling users on all plans to create and validate multi-protocol workflows directly on the visual canvas.
