Postman has introduced support for Atlassian's ASAP (Atlassian Service Authentication Protocol) to enhance its suite of authentication tools for API development and testing. This addition aims to streamline the process of authenticating requests between clients and resource servers by employing familiar OAuth 2.0 and JWT concepts, ensuring both high performance and security. Users can now easily select ASAP from the authentication options in Postman's interface, where they can input necessary details like Algorithm, Issuer, and Audience to generate tokens at runtime. This new feature complements previous improvements, such as token refresh support for OAuth 2.0 and enhancements in JWT authentication, continuing Postman's effort to address user challenges with authentication.
