Govern Your Public API Collections More Effectively

Visibility into APIs is essential for successful API management in organizations, enabling effective governance of publicly exposed APIs. With millions of developers using tools like public collection links, Postman public documentation, and public workspaces to share APIs, managing these resources has become challenging, especially for larger teams lacking a centralized governance system. To address this, a new feature has been introduced for enterprise organizations, allowing Community Managers—designated roles within the Postman platform—to oversee and manage public API elements such as collection links, documentation, and workspaces created by team members, all from a single location in the Manage Public Elements section. This feature provides the ability to identify creators of specific links, remove inappropriate links, and even disable the creation of public collection links if necessary, offering alternative sharing options like public workspaces or documentation. This enhancement not only enriches API consumer experiences but also improves organizational control over public API sharing.
