Blog post from PostHog
In the wake of a challenging 2020, PostHog has introduced a series of updates and features for 2021, following a two-week shutdown to allow their team to recharge. Noteworthy enhancements include a new apps library that enables users to browse and integrate apps built by the community, and a feature allowing apps to access persistent storage, expanding their use cases. Static cohorts have been introduced, complementing the existing dynamic cohorts by allowing the import and management of user groups without updates. Additionally, funnel steps can now be reordered, a feature requested by the user community. Performance improvements are highlighted by a tenfold increase in the loading speed of session lists, thanks to the efforts of new team member Karl. The release also includes a PostHog bookmarklet for easier event capture, alongside numerous bug fixes and performance enhancements. New roles are open for those interested in joining the PostHog team, and community contributions are recognized and encouraged.
