Port product updates: December 2023
Blog post from Port
Port's December 2023 updates introduce several enhancements aimed at improving developer productivity and experience. Key updates include new initiative and scorecard dashboards that allow users to track engineering standards like production readiness and security more effectively. The Kubernetes integration has been streamlined, enabling easier visualization of Kubernetes runtime within Port’s UI/API instead of traditional config files, and new widgets like the "Action run" widget have been introduced to track self-service action histories. Additional integrations with ServiceNow for incident management and Terraform Cloud for infrastructure tracking have been added, alongside a dynamic "Me" filter for personalized views and the ability to delete or update default catalog pages. Port also supports managing action permissions via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and has improved its GitLab integration with support for system hooks, facilitating easier webhook management across numerous projects. Users can now back up their Port accounts with a new script, display V3 Async API specifications using Swagger UI, and install integrations via ArgoCD, enhancing overall flexibility and user control.
