Announcing Neki

Neki is a new initiative by the team behind Vitess, designed to bring sharding capabilities to Postgres, leveraging the team's extensive experience in managing large-scale systems. Unlike Vitess, which optimizes MySQL, Neki is being developed from the ground up to cater specifically to Postgres, aiming to handle demanding workloads through collaboration with design partners. The goal is to eventually release Neki as an open-source project, expanding the accessibility of explicit sharding to a broader audience.
