Introducing PlanetScale Managed Cloud
Blog post from PlanetScale
PlanetScale has launched a beta version of its database for developers, initially on a shared tenancy model, but due to high demand from organizations with regulatory requirements, the company is now offering an alternative in the form of PlanetScale Managed Cloud, which allows users to deploy the database within their own cloud network and accounts. This new configuration provides the same API, CLI, and Web interface as the hosted product, but with the added benefit of on-premise deployment. The solution is built on Vitess and Kubernetes and is available in any AWS region, allowing users to interact with their databases through app.planetscale.com without changing any tooling or workflows. PlanetScale Managed Cloud is now available for Amazon Web Services, with support for Google Cloud Platform coming soon.
