Introducing one click payments: A simpler, faster way to Pay by Bank in Europe

Plaid has introduced "one click payments" to enhance the Pay by Bank experience across its 18 European markets, aiming to make open banking simpler, more secure, and seamless. This new feature streamlines the payment process by automatically recalling a returning user's preferred bank, eliminating the need for bank selection and thus reducing unnecessary steps during checkout. The update is designed to improve user trust and business conversion rates by refining the user experience, incorporating familiar payment flows, and making bank and app logos more prominent to instill confidence. These changes have already shown to improve returning user conversion by up to 11%, highlighting the effectiveness of reducing friction points in the payment process.
