Microagents, founded by Irshad Nilam, is innovating AI orchestration by enabling users to group specialized AI agents that collaborate on complex tasks using integrations with third-party services. The primary challenge for the company was achieving scalability through a broad range of service integrations, which was not feasible internally for the early-stage startup. To overcome this, Microagents utilized Pipedream Connect as an MCP server, which allowed their agents to securely and reliably interact with external APIs, thanks to Pipedream’s managed authentication and extensive library of over 2,500 apps. This approach enabled Microagents to rapidly implement their platform, focusing on agent collaboration while bypassing the complexities of building integrations from scratch, ultimately allowing them to launch a robust product quickly and position themselves for future scalability.
