The Pinecone Assistant node has been introduced in n8n, offering an integrated solution for building AI workflows that transform data sources into queryable knowledge, eliminating the need for manual pipeline assembly and infrastructure management. This tool automates processes such as chunking, embedding, vector search, query planning, and reranking, enabling users to connect various data sources like Google Drive and Slack to AI-backed automation with minimal setup. In contrast to the Pinecone Vector Store node, which provides granular control over the RAG pipeline, the Assistant node offers a fully managed service, handling the entire process with a single node and requiring only one API key.
