Despite its nascent stage, MCP is gaining traction in the AI community, supported by open-source implementations and early adopters, and it functions in harmony with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, enhancing the capabilities of AI agents by providing them with reliable, current data for decision-making and task execution.
