Web Search for Browserbase is now powered by Parallel
Blog post from Parallel Web Systems
Browserbase has made Parallel the default search provider for its Search API and Agents products, positioning search as the first stage of an agent workflow before content fetching and browser-based interactions. Requests to the `/v1/search` endpoint and `bb.search.web` now use Parallel by default, though users can select another provider per request and choose either fast or advanced search modes. The integration uses existing Browserbase API keys and is intended to help agents identify relevant URLs more efficiently, reducing unnecessary browser sessions and token usage. Browserbase offers a platform combining browser automation, search, fetching, and agent identity, while Parallel provides web-scale AI search and research capabilities with LLM-oriented outputs, including citations, reasoning, and confidence scores.
