Transforming Healthcare in Rural India with Telemedicine

Intelehealth, an India-based nonprofit, is making significant strides in improving healthcare access for underserved communities through telemedicine, having conducted 4.5 million teleconsultations across India, Syria, and Kyrgyzstan. Their efforts are particularly impactful in rural and marginalized areas, where systemic challenges often impede access to quality healthcare. By partnering with governments and NGOs, Intelehealth provides telemedicine software and training to frontline health workers, enabling them to connect patients with healthcare professionals, even in areas with poor cellular connectivity. The organization faced technical challenges that were mitigated by participating in PagerDuty's Impact Accelerator program, which provided technical support and resources to streamline operations and enhance platform functionality. This collaboration has allowed Intelehealth to focus on scaling their services, improve patient outcomes, and foster gender equity in healthcare access, while realizing a significant return on investment and operational efficiencies.
