New Native Slack functionality from PagerDuty – Available Now
Blog post from PagerDuty
PagerDuty has introduced new features in its Slack Integration to enhance user experience and efficiency for incident responders. These updates include a Slack Single Connection Management Page that simplifies the integration process by reducing configuration steps, providing many-to-many workspace to PagerDuty mapping, and facilitating connections between PagerDuty teams and Slack channels. Additionally, dedicated Stakeholder update channels enable stakeholders to receive incident updates without disrupting responders, who can now post updates and resolution notes directly from Slack. Furthermore, the integration allows responders to execute diagnostic and remediation actions using Rundeck Actions directly within Slack, thus streamlining incident management without requiring a switch in context. These enhancements are designed to improve response times and maintain high customer satisfaction, and users are encouraged to migrate to Slack V2 on Webhooks V3 to access all features.
