PagerDuty recently celebrated Patriot Week, a dedicated time to honor veterans and first responders, highlighting their sacrifices and contributions both globally and within the company. The event was personal for the Chief People Officer, a former Marine, who emphasized the importance of resilience, adaptability, and teamwork, principles that are integral to the company's culture. PagerDuty values diverse hiring practices, recognizing the unique skills and perspectives veterans bring to the corporate environment, and actively supports their presence through the PatriotDuty ERG. This group organized various activities during the week, including a global recognition of veterans, a letter-writing campaign, and events with organizations like Hire Heroes USA, which helps veterans transition to civilian employment. The week concluded with a virtual 5K run, providing an opportunity for employees to engage in physical activity while showing appreciation for military personnel and first responders.
