Businesses Unite With PagerDuty to Solve COVID-19 Vaccine Crisis in ‘Go Give One’ Campaign
Blog post from PagerDuty
PagerDuty.org's Time-Critical Health Initiative, launched in 2019, has become increasingly vital amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in supporting equitable vaccine distribution. The initiative underscores the stark disparity in vaccine access, with 84% of vaccines administered in affluent countries and only 0.3% in low-income ones. To address this, PagerDuty has joined the Go Give One campaign, led by the WHO Foundation, aiming to distribute two billion vaccine doses to 92 low- and middle-income countries by early 2022. This campaign involves a coalition of partners, including Salesforce and Workday, and encourages individuals to contribute $5 per vaccine, with PagerDuty matching certain donations. The funds raised will support the COVAX Advance Market Commitment, ensuring vaccine access regardless of a country's financial standing. PagerDuty's commitment to social impact extends through its Pledge 1% program, contributing equity, volunteer time, and product resources to advance global health justice.
