The OpsMill Story: Why We Built Infrahub

Infrahub, a new product by OpsMill, has entered public beta with the aim of revolutionizing infrastructure automation by addressing the challenges faced in managing large-scale infrastructure. Founders Raphael and Damien, drawing from their extensive experience in the industry, identified the need for a platform that simplifies management while being reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient. The traditional approaches to infrastructure automation have been marred by fragility and complexity, largely due to inadequate platforms for data management and change control. Infrahub seeks to resolve these issues by serving as a comprehensive source of truth (SoT), combining the strengths of GitOps and database capabilities to enhance data extensibility and version control. This approach is intended to mitigate the fragmentation and inefficiency observed in current infrastructure automation efforts, allowing engineering teams to focus on innovation without the burden of maintaining complex bespoke systems.
