Rosalind Workbench is a research-preview environment in the ChatGPT app designed to help life sciences researchers connect biological questions, data, analyses, specialized tools, and supporting evidence in a single traceable workflow. Built on GPT-Rosalind, it supports applications including medicinal chemistry, genomics, structural biology, pathology, wet-lab planning, and experimental validation through guided tasks and viewers for molecular structures, sequences and alignments, and tissue slides. Researchers can adapt example workflows to their own objectives, such as examining protein–drug interactions, designing nanobodies, analyzing RNA sequencing data, or planning assays, while retaining records of plans, intermediate results, and decisions. The platform offers an Explore mode for general scientific inquiry and a Research mode for advanced analyses, with organizational access, enterprise governance controls, and a trusted-access framework for government and public-health use intended to support beneficial research while addressing sensitive biological information and misuse risks.
