Summary

Onehouse OneFlow is presented as a managed approach to near-real-time Oracle change data capture that reduces the operational complexity of hand-built pipelines involving Oracle archive logs, Kafka, Debezium, schema registries, Spark merge jobs, and table maintenance. Users prepare Oracle with ARCHIVELOG mode, supplemental primary-key logging, appropriate CDC permissions, and primary keys on synced tables, then configure an Oracle CDC source, AWS Glue schema registry, and a Mutable-mode Flow in the Onehouse console. OneFlow provisions and manages Amazon MSK in the customer’s AWS account, initially copies source data, and subsequently applies inserts, updates, and deletes to an open table that can be read by Apache Iceberg engines without duplicating data. In a test using an Oracle orders table, the system replicated an initial 1,000 rows, captured subsequent changes, and automatically resumed after a roughly four-minute Oracle outage without a manual restart or data loss; however, resilience during longer outages depends on Oracle archive-log and Kafka event-retention periods.
