Summary

Onehouse has introduced Notification Rules, a project-level feature that routes operational alerts based on resource ownership, event type, recipients, and delivery channel rather than broadly notifying users by role. Rules can cover jobs, flows, table services, clusters, tables, and project-wide events, with options to target specific resources and send alerts through email, Slack, and the in-app notification feed. The feature is intended to reduce alert noise in projects shared by multiple teams by allowing, for example, flow failures to reach the responsible team or job creator while sync delays are sent to Slack and urgent incidents to on-call addresses. Existing alert behavior is preserved through default rules that initially route events to Project Admins or a configured Notifications Email address, while administrators can later disable, narrow, or customize these rules without reverting to role-based routing. Notifications are now delivered immediately and independently for each event and destination, although the at-least-once delivery model may occasionally result in duplicate alerts. Available in all Onehouse projects, Notification Rules complement the platform’s permissions and observability tools by helping teams focus on actionable events for the resources they manage.
