Sven's new role

Sven has transitioned from his former CEO role to working more directly on the product at Gitpod. He remains on the board of directors and assists with strategic decisions but has moved out of any management responsibilities. This change allows him to focus entirely on improving Gitpod, which he finds very fulfilling. In August, Sven shared a letter internally with his colleagues explaining his decision to transition from Co-CEO to an engineering individual contributor role. He believes this move will enable him to have the most significant impact and contribute more directly to product development.
