In Octopus Deploy 3.4.7, new deployment steps specifically for IIS Web Sites and Windows Services have been introduced, offering first-class support for deploying to Virtual Directories and Web Applications. Previously, configuring these deployments required additional steps, making the process less intuitive for new users. The update aims to simplify and better align deployment steps with user goals by adding straightforward options such as "Deploy an IIS Web Site" and "Deploy a Windows Service," while maintaining existing deployment processes. This enhancement is part of an ongoing effort to provide a superior IIS deployment experience, addressing gaps previously covered by the Community Library, and feedback from users is encouraged to further improve the system.
