What's New: Dataset Graph

Observe has introduced a new feature set called Dataset Graph, which enhances data visualization and understanding by allowing users to see relationships between datasets through a user-friendly graph interface. This feature set builds on the existing GraphLink functionality by offering multiple views, such as Links, Lineage, and Focus, each providing different perspectives on dataset relationships. The Links view clusters related datasets, the Lineage view displays datasets as a flowchart showing their construction and impact, and the Focus view highlights direct links of a single dataset. Additionally, Dataset Graph is easily accessible from the Observe workspace under the "Explore" tab, and directly from datasets or resources via the Related tab. A Status feature overlays to identify broken relationships, streamlining the process of resolving issues. The introduction of Dataset Graph aims to increase user efficiency by enabling seamless exploration and connection of datasets without adding extra tools or costs, empowering users such as SREs and DevOps Engineers to derive new insights from existing data.
