Your CI Just Got a Vitals Monitor: Resource Usage for Every Org
Blog post from Nx
Nx Cloud has introduced a resource usage add-on for organizations using Nx 22.1 or later that records CPU and memory consumption during CI runs, including metrics for individual processes and tasks. The feature is intended to help teams diagnose out-of-memory failures, identify memory-intensive tasks, detect possible leaks, and compare resource use after configuration changes. In distributed runs using Nx Agents, a Resource usage tab summarizes average and peak CPU and memory by agent, including restarted attempts, while non-distributed runs provide task-level charts in run details; both views support CSV downloads. Newly created organizations have the feature enabled by default, while existing organizations can enable or disable it at organization and workspace levels, with separate controls for distributed and non-distributed runs. Resource reports cost 10 additional credits each, although multiple non-distributed reports from the same machine are charged as one report, and metrics are collected only in CI, not on local machines.
