GitOps Launch Week, Day 5
Blog post from Nullstone
Nullstone is introducing Nullstone GitOps, a tool designed to streamline the software delivery process by enabling developers to submit a single pull request that includes all necessary components for a feature or bug fix, without requiring manual configuration or deployment steps. As part of this release, Nullstone has introduced the ability to configure Slack notifications through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) files, allowing users to receive updates about application deployments and infrastructure changes directly in their Slack channels. This feature exemplifies the power of GitOps by integrating notifications into the software delivery workflow, providing context and quick access to Nullstone workflows for efficient analysis and interaction. Unlike other GitOps solutions that require Kubernetes queries or UI visits, Nullstone's approach facilitates immediate notifications for actions such as application deployments, infrastructure launches, updates, approvals, and more, with the capability to filter messages based on action status.
