Organizations, and Organization-based Billing

Efforts are underway to enhance user feedback and improve the billing system by transitioning from a project-based to an organization-based billing model, which aims to simplify and streamline the billing experience for users managing multiple projects. This shift includes moving from workspaces to organizations, aligning with industry standards and user expectations, and offering a more scalable and predictable billing system. Organizations will group projects together, allowing for a single invoice that covers all associated projects under one plan, while resources and quotas are shared across the organization, simplifying management and reducing the number of invoices. Existing workspaces will be accessible until February 1st, 2025, but users are encouraged to transition to organizations to take advantage of the new improvements. Migration for Starter projects will be automatic, while paid projects will require a simple user-initiated process, with additional support provided for Teams and Enterprise customers to ensure a smooth transition, all set to be implemented by October 27th.
