The CDN stores copies of content close to users, reducing the need to access the origin server, with automatic cache invalidation to ensure data accuracy. The system is designed to handle both public and private files, using conditional requests to authenticate access to private data. Additionally, the CDN efficiently manages large file transfers and employs techniques like shielding to optimize content delivery.
