Add ngrok to Next.js, FastAPI, Axum, and Gin
Blog post from Ngrok
ngrok has released and maintains official integration packages for Next.js, FastAPI, Axum, and Gin that automatically create a public endpoint when an application starts and close it when it stops, eliminating the need to run a separate ngrok terminal process. Built on ngrok’s agent SDKs, the packages support local development and production, use the NGROK_AUTHTOKEN environment variable and an account’s development domain by default, and can be configured with reserved domains, Traffic Policy, pooling, or bindings. The Next.js package runs alongside `next dev` and can populate public URL environment variables for NextAuth, while the FastAPI, Axum, and Gin integrations require a single attach or serve call within the application. Developers can also expose multiple services through Next.js configuration or multi-endpoint functions in the other frameworks, then verify public endpoints through the ngrok dashboard; accompanying repositories provide examples and configuration documentation.
