Unified observability for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) - GA
Blog post from New Relic
New Relic has announced general availability of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure monitoring, bringing metrics, logs, tags, and metadata from more than 40 OCI services into its unified observability platform alongside AWS, Azure, GCP, application, and Kubernetes telemetry. The integration is intended to reduce fragmented monitoring and improve incident response for organizations operating large, multi-region, and multi-tenancy OCI environments by centralizing visibility into services such as Compute, Autonomous Database, Oracle Kubernetes Engine, and Networking. Setup uses OIDC Workload Identity Federation rather than static credentials, with guided UI, Terraform, and Oracle Resource Manager deployment options that provision OCI Connector Hub pipelines and enable telemetry collection across selected regions, namespaces, and log groups. Once data is ingested, users can access prebuilt Golden Metric dashboards, query telemetry through NRQL, and configure threshold-based or AI-driven anomaly alerts for metrics including CPU, memory, storage IOPS, and network throughput. OCI monitoring does not require a separate product SKU and is covered under New Relic’s standard usage-based pricing model.
