New Relic has enhanced its server-side configuration to allow Java developers to enable application performance monitoring (APM) logging directly through the user interface, without needing to alter code or submit pull requests. This one-click APM logging feature supports Java services version 7.6.0 or higher and offers real-time debugging capabilities by providing access to logs with full transaction context, facilitating faster root cause analysis during critical incidents. The update simplifies the process of activating logging, reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR) by allowing immediate visibility into issues without deploying new code. This improvement is part of New Relic's ongoing commitment to enhancing its Intelligent Observability Platform, with plans to expand these capabilities to additional languages and services.
