New Relic's Japan Region Is Now Generally Available
Blog post from New Relic
New Relic has made its Japan region generally available, hosting the service in AWS’s Tokyo region to allow customers to ingest, store, process, and analyze observability data entirely within Japan. The launch addresses data sovereignty and governance requirements, particularly for regulated industries such as financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, public infrastructure, and manufacturing, whose telemetry may contain sensitive information. New Relic says AI processing and inference for Japan-region customers also remain in-country, preventing cross-border movement of telemetry during AI-driven incident investigation. The region provides the same New Relic platform, workflows, instrumentation, dashboards, and runbooks used elsewhere while aiming to reduce latency for ingestion, queries, alerts, and dashboards. New and existing customers can onboard or migrate with assistance from New Relic’s Japanese account and customer-success teams.
