New Relic Announces General Availability of Direct Entity and Relationship Querying in NRDB using NRQL
Blog post from New Relic
New Relic has introduced a new platform capability that enables users to query entity and relationship data directly within the New Relic Database (NRDB) using the New Relic Query Language (NRQL), integrating it seamlessly with telemetry data for unified access. This advancement addresses the previous challenge of fragmented data across different stores, which complicated queries and insights. With entity and relationship data stored in NRDB for 24 hours, users can now efficiently correlate these with telemetry data, facilitating the creation of advanced scorecards for tasks like enforcing tagging compliance, monitoring AWS reliability, and assessing observability maturity. The feature promises faster insights and improved correlation, exemplified by use cases such as correlating CPU usage with host attributes and tracking entity state changes. This new capability is part of New Relic Advanced Compute, offering a usage-based pricing model with cost controls and full platform access, encouraging customers to leverage these innovations for enhanced data-driven insights.
