The past few weeks have been difficult for the author and many of their teammates due to feelings of anger, sadness, hurt, frustration, and exhaustion. However, this challenging time has also led to an outpouring of support and solidarity from many people who want to make real change in the world. The company New Relic is committed to taking anti-racist actions across three key areas: supporting their Black employees, donating to anti-racist causes, and becoming allies by educating themselves and others on how to create a more inclusive environment. To actively be anti-racist, individuals can take various actions such as educating themselves, engaging in discussions with people of color, donating to relevant organizations, voting, voicing their opinion, attending ally skills training, and committing to being part of the solution.
