New Relic's November '25 release introduces Logs Intelligence, a transformative enhancement designed to alleviate the analytical burden faced by Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) during incident response. The new feature shifts the responsibility of analyzing data from the SREs to the platform, providing instant intelligence and root cause hypotheses to reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR). By integrating Logs and Application Performance Monitoring (APM), the tool aims to eliminate data silos and enhance observability. The AI Logs Alert Summarization (AiLAS) feature stands out by offering detailed insights beyond traditional anomaly flagging, analyzing vast amounts of log records to deliver actionable summaries. This enhancement promises to automate repetitive queries, improve data governance, and provide a seamless onboarding experience, ultimately maximizing uptime and freeing engineers for innovation. Currently in public preview, New Relic offers this feature with 100 GB/month of free data ingest for users without an account.
