The consolidation of Centralpoint's cloud-native stack with Dustin's modern application stack presented a challenge in choosing the right observability solution, which ultimately led to the decision to use New Relic due to its maturity and cost-effectiveness. Adopting a full in-house DevOps model and moving away from infrastructure-as-a-service mindset helped optimize resource utilization and improve team efficiency. Embedding security into applications through Vulnerability Management enabled teams to take ownership of their application's security status, reducing alert fatigue and improving incident response. The transition towards a DevSecOps approach requires cultural changes in teams' responsibilities and agile mindsets.
