New Relic provides a seamless developer experience by correlating OpenTelemetry (OTel) application-level metrics with Kubernetes infrastructure metrics, making it easier to view the entire landscape of telemetry data and work across teams to get faster Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) for issues in your Kubernetes environment. To set up this integration, you need to install New Relic's Kubernetes integration in your cluster, instrument your applications with OpenTelemetry, and deploy the OpenTelemetry collector as an agent on every node in your cluster. The collector can then receive telemetry data from your applications and enrich it with metadata from your infrastructure, allowing for a single UI to view both OTel and Kubernetes performance data.
