How BASF Agricultural Solutions uses New Relic

The Digital Agriculture Solutions team at BASF has implemented New Relic's observability platform to streamline and automate the monitoring of hundreds of applications and cloud environments, creating a centralized system called the GAME Board. This initiative allows BASF to gain real-time insights into application health and business KPIs, offering visibility into server health, user activity, and infrastructure costs across multiple cloud services like Microsoft Azure and AWS. The GAME Board, developed in collaboration with New Relic engineers, provides instant alerts for any issues affecting applications, enabling rapid response before user experience is impacted. It also includes a cost-tracking dashboard to optimize infrastructure expenses, providing a transparent and scalable approach for product owners. The project is in its early stages, with plans to further automate the process using Terraform scripts, enhancing the ease of use for monitoring applications.
