The 2021 Jamstack Community Survey reveals a growing and mature community, with over 7,000 respondents, more than twice as many as the previous year's survey. The pandemic has accelerated the shift to remote development, with developers with more than 2 years of experience being less likely to lose their jobs and instead seeing their jobs go remote. The use of serverless functions also increased, with 46% of developers using them to build their sites. Security is a rising priority, with 32% of Jamstack developers building websites with audiences numbered in the millions. The survey found that React continues to be the most popular web framework, followed by Next.js, while TypeScript is gaining popularity and usage. Figma dominates the design tool space, and WordPress remains the most-used content management system, but its users reported low satisfaction unless using it in headless configuration. The Jamstack community is undergoing rapid growth, with a healthy and vibrant atmosphere.
