Netlify has announced that it will now allow users to control asset optimizations directly in their code as part of the `netlify.toml` file, providing granular control over these optimizations. This feature was previously only available via the admin interface and allows for better organization and version control of settings. Users can now specify different settings for specific branches or deploy contexts, enabling more precise control over post-processing steps such as CSS bundle and minification. The new capability is live and users are encouraged to try it out and provide feedback in the Netlify Community.
