Introducing Same-Region Read Replicas to Serverless Postgres

Neon introduces same-region read replicas to its serverless architecture, enhancing database efficiency and scalability. This feature is available on Neon's Pro plan and can be accessed through the console or CLI. Read replicas in PostgreSQL are used for scaling read operations, reporting, analytics, and disaster recovery. Neon's read replicas separate storage and compute, offering efficient storage, data consistency, scalability, cost-effectiveness, resource customization, and access control.
