Nebius backs Europe’s AI builders with $10M in compute, capital, and community programs
Blog post from Nebius
Nebius is expanding its AI Builder Program in Europe with a $10 million commitment to support open-source AI development through compute grants, investor connections, and community events. The initiative targets European projects involving open models, coding agents, infrastructure, inference, post-training, evaluation, and data tooling, with an emphasis on helping developers retain ownership and strengthen the open AI ecosystem. In partnership with NVIDIA, Accel, other European venture capital firms, and communities including AI Tinkerers, {Tech: Europe}, and ESRA, Nebius plans to host hackathons and demo days while connecting founders to potential funding. The expansion follows the program’s September launch, which attracted thousands of applicants, alongside a global AI hackathon with more than 24,000 participants and build-day events held in 20 cities.
