Exploring the potential of automation and AI, the author shares their journey of enhancing productivity by automating routine tasks using the fair-code licensed tool, n8n, inspired by a podcast featuring Przemek Chojecki of Contentyze. Initially a user of Zapier and IFTTT, the author sought to automate email management and blog post idea generation through n8n, which required some technical knowledge but offered greater flexibility. By integrating these tasks with a Telegram bot, they successfully streamlined their workflow, receiving unread email notifications and trending YouTube video titles for blog inspiration. Motivated by these improvements, the author plans to automate stock and FX data retrieval and explore Webflow integration, aiming to further boost their productivity with n8n's capabilities.
