Try new models and services, skip the account setup

n8n has introduced Gateway credits for self-service n8n Cloud Starter and Pro plans, allowing users to access supported AI models and services without creating separate provider accounts, supplying payment details, or managing API keys. Credits are drawn from a shared prepaid balance, with costs intended to match providers’ published list prices and usage visible by workflow and service in the Cloud Admin Panel; users can still supply their own credentials if preferred. Providers receive request content such as prompts or documents but not users’ identities or n8n account details. The launch supports six model providers, including Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Alibaba Cloud, Kimi.ai, and MiniMax, alongside tools such as Brave Search, Browserbase, Firecrawl, LlamaParse, and PDF.co, enabling workflows for web research, browser automation, document parsing, and PDF processing. Instance owners can enable or disable the feature, monitor and replenish the shared balance, and use automatic top-ups, while eligible new accounts and existing paid customers received introductory credits during rollout.
