During the Mux Launch Week, several updates and features were introduced to help developers build professional and flexible video integrations into their apps. Day 1 featured DRM in public beta, which secures videos and prevents screen recording, sharing, and downloading tools. Day 2 included Automatic Cold Storage for saving up to 60% on storage costs, Mux Player for iOS and Android with short-form video caching, and pricing updates such as the Mux Starter plan and baseline encoding for on-demand assets at $0/minute. Day 3 focused on Mux Data updates, including error categorization and new features page. Day 4 covered AI workflow examples, such as using webhooks to generate companion assets for applications and creating an interactive video transcript with auto-generated captions.
