Introducing Mux Robots: Hosted AI workflows for Mux Video
Blog post from Mux
Mux has introduced Mux Robots, a new feature designed to integrate AI workflows with video assets, transforming video into a versatile data source beyond traditional streaming. Mux Robots allows users to perform a range of tasks such as summarizing videos, moderating content, translating captions, and identifying key moments, all through simple API calls or directly via the Mux dashboard. This new tool leverages existing Mux video primitives and introduces new ones to enhance video processing capabilities, while managing the underlying operational and infrastructure challenges associated with AI workflows. Currently available in a technical preview, Mux Robots invites user feedback to refine its capabilities and plans to expand its range of workflows, facilitating scalable and cost-effective video experiences. The service is offered for free up to a certain usage limit through May 2026, encouraging developers to experiment and provide insights for further development.
