Idris, a supervised learning engine, maintains context of each meeting and drives conversation towards obtaining necessary information to confirm the event. x.ai's data is stored in MongoDB, and the company has built an app to monitor Idris, as well as a production model that relies on MongoDB for real-time scheduling. The team uses replica sets for HA and relies on backups from MongoDB Management Service (MMS) to ensure data availability. Alex Poon, one of the x.ai founders, chose MongoDB due to its ease of exploring business models and data models, and his company has built two products that run entirely on MongoDB, including a real-time predictive analytics platform that was acquired by Outbrain.
