The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is collecting and sharing information on mobile broadband quality using MongoDB to store, validate, and analyze the data. The FCC's Speed Test App allows users to test their networks and view their results, while also providing a platform for consumers to see aggregate test results overlaid on maps once they become available. Using MongoDB, the FCC can scale its storage capacity as its test results grow from millions to tens of millions per month, and has chosen it for its flexibility, scalability, and security features.
