Now Available: Two-Factor Authentication for MMS Backup via Google Authenticator We are pleased to announce that Google Authenticator is now available as an alternative to SMS-based two-factor authentication in MongoDB Management Service (MMS). This new feature provides users with a secure and reliable way to access sensitive data and perform certain operations, such as pulling a restore. The addition of Google Authenticator addresses edge cases where SMS service may be unreliable or signals are weak, giving customers peace of mind in data emergencies. This feature is built based on customer feedback and will continue to receive updates and new functionality.
