The new Aggregation Pipeline Text Editor in MongoDB Compass provides users with a free-form text editor to write aggregations, offering flexibility and convenience for those who prefer not to use the guided builder. This feature allows users to see the entire pipeline at once, stay in the flow while writing aggregations, copy and paste aggregations from other tools, and use built-in syntax formatting. The Aggregation Pipeline Text Editor also previews the final pipeline output, making it easier to work with complex queries. Users can access both the traditional builder and the new text editor from within the Aggregations tab in Compass and switch between views without losing their work.
