The MongoDB World Hackathon 2019 saw a total of 75 teams submit projects on various topics, including healthcare, games, and machine learning. The top three winning teams, Brainhack Wheelchair, Kegomate, and Porygon, were chosen for their innovative use of MongoDB Mobile, Stitch, and Atlas. The winners will be flown to New York City to present their projects, with the first-place winner earning $10,000 through an audience vote. Additionally, other prizes were awarded for Best use of MongoDB Charts, Social Good, Most Helpful on Slack, and more. For those who didn't win a prize in the hackathon, there are still chances to win prizes leading up to MongoDB World through Eliot's Weekly MongoDB World Challenge. The challenge offers a prize ladder with increasing values each week until $6,000 by the 6th week.
